F+W Media Signs with Apple

The iPad may have launched with far fewer titles for sale than the largest e-readers (see today's magazine story), but Apple is signing on new partners. This morning F+W Media said it has signed with Apple to provide its titles to the iPad and has uploaded 50 of its bestselling titles already. F+W will continue to add more titles to the iBookstore throughout the year. Like all other publishers, F+W is selling its titles to Apple via the agency model. F+W chairman and CEO David Nussbaum said "we see this agreement as the just the start to a long and mutually beneficial relationship with Apple."
